Assistly.me ("Assistly", "we", "us") gives you AI assistants that do online work for you: they chat with you, read and draft email, run web tasks in a browser, and work with the apps you connect. This policy explains what information we handle to do that, why, who else is involved, and the choices you have. Questions: support@assistly.me.
1. What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, and your password stored only as a secure one-way hash (we can't read it).
- Your conversations and tasks — the messages you send your assistants, their replies, the tasks they run and their results, and your saved rules and schedules.
- Files you attach — pictures, PDFs and documents you upload, and the text we extract from them so the assistant can read them.
- Connected accounts — when you connect email, WordPress, a store, a calendar, to-do apps, sheets, Notion, team chat or automations, the access details you provide (such as app passwords or API keys). These are stored encrypted.
- Browser sign-ins — when you sign in to a website on your assistant's browser, that site's sign-in cookies and storage are saved so you don't have to sign in every time. A password you type on that screen goes straight to the website; we don't store it. Saved sign-ins are encrypted and kept separately for each user.
- Password vault (optional) — logins you choose to save in your vault (website, username and password). Passwords are encrypted with a key unique to your account and are never shown again in the app. Your assistant uses a saved login only after you approve it in the chat; the password is typed into that website by our software and is not shown to the AI model. You can change or delete saved logins at any time, and they are deleted with your account.
- Usage information — how much you use the service (messages, web tasks, files, AI processing), for your plan's limits and billing.
- Payment information — payments are handled by Stripe. We don't receive or store your card number; we keep only your Stripe customer and subscription references and your plan.
- Notification settings — your notification email and, if you connect it, your Telegram chat, so we can send you results and reminders.
- Feedback and support messages — ratings you give answers, and messages you send to Support.
- Technical data — basic server logs (such as IP address, time and errors) to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use it
- To run the service you ask for: answer you, run your tasks, read the files you attach, and use your connected accounts on your instructions.
- To show your usage, apply your plan's limits and handle payments.
- To send you task results, reminders and service messages you asked for.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems — including reviewing failed tasks and answers you rated as poor, so we can improve the service.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
3. AI processing
To answer you and perform a task, Assistly sends the relevant parts of your message, recent conversation, attached files, and connected-app data to the AI provider configured by Assistly. Depending on our current configuration, this may be Z.ai, OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, or another compatible provider selected by Assistly. The provider processes this information to return the response or task result. Google user data is used only for the user-facing features you request; Assistly does not use it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train or improve generalized AI models. We require AI providers handling Google data to process it only to provide the requested feature and not to train generalized models with it. Important results should be checked because AI can make mistakes.
4. Google user data
When you connect a Google service, Assistly accesses only the services and permissions you select on Google's consent screen. Depending on the connector, this can include your Google account email; Gmail message headers and short message snippets, and sending an email only after you approve it; upcoming Google Calendar event details, and creating an event only after you approve it; Google Drive file names and types; spreadsheet names and selected cell values; or read-only YouTube, AdSense, AdMob, Google Ads, Google Play and Google Analytics data needed for the feature you request. We do not use Google data for advertising or sell it.
Assistly requests Google data when it is needed for your request. Relevant data may be sent to the AI provider configured by Assistly so it can answer you or complete the requested feature. Your conversations and the assistant's responses may remain in your chat history; Google connection tokens are stored encrypted in your Assistly account and are used to access only the Google services you authorized. We do not create a separate Google-data profile for advertising or generalized model training.
You can remove a Google connection in Connectors to delete its stored credentials and stop Assistly from using that connection. To revoke the authorization at Google as well, visit your Google Account connections. You can also review the permissions Google granted on its consent screen. Assistly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. Your assistant's browser
Web tasks run in a real Chrome browser on our server. Every user gets their own private browser window with separate cookies and storage — another user's tasks never use yours. When a website needs you to sign in, you do it yourself on the live screen; your password goes directly to that website. Before steps with real-world effect (paying, sending, posting, deleting or submitting) the assistant stops and asks for your approval. You can ask your assistant to sign out of any site, or of all sites, at any time; that removes the saved sign-in.
6. Who else processes your data
- Hetzner (Germany) — our servers and data storage.
- Our configured AI provider — processes relevant conversation and connected-app data to provide requested answers and tasks. The provider may be Z.ai, OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, or another compatible provider selected by Assistly.
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
- GoDaddy — sending notification emails from support@assistly.me.
- Telegram — only if you connect it for notifications.
- The apps and websites you connect or ask us to use — we act on them only on your instructions, under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
7. Security
Connected-account details and saved browser sign-ins are encrypted (AES-256). Each user's data and browser are kept separate. Access to the server is restricted and protected by keys. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected users about any breach that puts their information at risk, as the law requires.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Usage records are kept for billing and limits; server logs and backups are kept for a limited time and then removed. When your account is deleted, we delete your conversations, tasks, files, connected accounts and saved sign-ins, and cancel any subscription. Copies in backups are removed when those backups expire. We may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example, payment records).
9. Your choices and rights
- Disconnect any connected account in Connectors, and ask your assistant to sign out of any website.
- Turn notifications on or off in Notifications.
- Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account, by writing to support@assistly.me. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local data-protection law.
10. Cookies
Assistly uses essential sign-in cookies and stores a few preferences in your browser. If Google Analytics is configured for the public website, its analytics tag runs only after you opt in using the cookie notice. It measures visits and interactions on the public landing page; chat messages, uploaded files, connected-account data and private workspace activity are not sent to Google Analytics. You can decline or change your choice using Cookie settings on the home page. Google may process information collected by its tag under its own terms and privacy policy.
11. Children
Assistly is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. We'll change the date above and notify users in the app or by email if we materially change how Google user data is accessed, used, stored or shared.
